As the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities were set to begin, it was announced that Miami Heat star Chris Bosh would skip the festivities due to a calf injury. Bosh would skip the 2016 three-point shootout and 2016 NBA All-Star Game but he was still around to enjoy the weekend.
Now that the fanfare is over and the trade deadline is upon us, it now appears that the calf injury that Chris Bosh has might actually be more than just a calf injury. Bosh could possibly be dealing with life-threatening blood clots, something that ended his 2014-15 campaign.
Following from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Then Tim Reynolds of the AP says there is a concern about Chris Bosh’s blood clots possibly returning.
It is a blood-clot scare for Chris Bosh, source tells AP. Source also insists that Bosh's season has not been declared over.

If the clots do return to Bosh and they don’t catch it in time, it could mark the end of Bosh’s season once again and this season the Heat desperately need Bosh if they want to make a serious playoff push to dethrone the Cleveland Cavaliers as kings of the Eastern Conference.
Any trades the Heat might make this week will have to take second fiddle behind the concern of Bosh’s future because without him, plans change dramatically. In an instant, Hassan Whiteside does not become an easy trade target for depth on their wing but instead the Heat might be in contention for a big name like Dwight Howard or Al Horford to solidify their front line going forward.
