The Miami Heat will likely face off against the New Orleans Pelicans on Christmas day, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Per league source, tentative (not yet definite) NBA schedule in circulation has New Orleans playing the Heat on Christmas in Miami at noon.

The Heat always play on Christmas. Heck, they’re basically part of the Christmas tradition at this point. The kids wake up, open their presents from Santa, and then watch the Miami Heat play. This is the 6th straight year that the Heat have been a part of the Christmas Day NBA lineup.
The Pelicans aren’t as used to Christmas games. This will be just the second one played by the franchise(the first one was a 20-point loss to the Magic in 2008).
The Anthony Davis-led Pelicans are better than ever though, and the Heat have made great strides as well. This should be a fun game to watch. Really, any game with Anthony Davis is fun to watch, but this one should be even more entertaining than most. The Heat are poised to have a spectacular season. They locked up Goran Dragic on a 5-year, $90 million deal, re-signed Dwyane Wade for 1-year, $20 million, signed valuable role players in Gerald Green and Amar’e Stoudemire, and got arguably the steal of the draft in Justise Winslow. They also retained the remainder of their core(Chris Bosh, Luol Deng, Hassan Whiteside).
This should be a great Christmas-day matchup. One of the more complete, deep teams in the league vs. one of the best players in the league surrounded by a solid supporting cast.
