The Miami Heat are hitting that middle of the season injury bug at the wrong time. The Heat have been without Josh McRoberts for a long time, Tyler Johnson has missed a couple of games here and there and Hassan Whiteside is fighting off an injury of his own but now, their starting point guard is expected to miss some time.
Dragic was sent home yesterday before the Heat road game against the Los Angeles Clippers and he was told to skip this current six game road trip.

Dragic is missed mostly when the Heat don’t have Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh on the court. His role has diminished, as expected but no one thought it was going to this much of a drop off. Dragic is averaging 12.3 points per game, the lowest since his time with the Houston Rockets, along with five assists and one steal on the season. He’s going to be supplemented in the starting lineup with newly acquired guard Beno Udrih but Dwyane Wade will be the primary ball-handler.
