The Miami Heat had a successful trade deadline by getting under the luxury tax and going from paying about $25 million in repeater tax penalties to paying nothing in just a matter of days. While that was a big win for the organization, there is major concerns about their future when it comes to All-Star forward Chris Bosh.
Bosh has been the best and most consistent player for the Miami Heat this season and after his 2014-15 came to an end, his return this season was highly anticipated. As the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend was about to begin, the Heat star removed himself out of the festivities due to what the team called a ‘calf strain’.
Eventually news came out that the injury was more serious and it actually involved Bosh’s blood clots returning. With his season currently in jeopardy and no official update yet from the Miami Heat, the players took the liberty to tell everyone not to worry. They are very optimistic Bosh would return this season.

Although All-Star forward Chris Bosh and Miami Heat executives remain quiet about the medical condition that has sidelined him for two weeks, teammates said Tuesday that Bosh has maintained an active role behind the scenes.
“He gets on the court, shoots [a few] jump shots and gets a little sweat in,” Heat guard Dwyane Wade said Tuesday. “He’s still a big part of this team. As I’ve said before, he’s around, and he’s in good spirits.”
Wade and several other Heat players have said in recent days that Bosh’s current condition is much better than last season’s and that they are optimistic he’ll return at some point this season. Players said Bosh has been on the practice court and at team meetings and has been helping younger players with film study.
Staying under the luxury tax line is key for the Heat and they will stay under that line until they can sign a player on March 6th without having it affect their tax line. It is going to be a long couple of week for the Heat with a number of players injured including two guards in Beno Udrih and Tyler Johnson done for the season.
It’s going to be Dwyane Wade’s show for the time-being.
