Denver Nuggets are in that strange ‘do we tank or not’ stage right now. There are some guys, like JaVale McGee, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari and Randy Foye who are hurt, but some are expected to return in the coming days before January ends.
Now the Nuggets are currently 17-20, 3.5 games out of 8th in the West so you would think that when healthy, the Nuggets might make a big run.
Then again, after the trade of their starting center Timofey Mozgov to the Cleveland Cavaliers, there might be cause for concern in Nuggets land about more moves being made.
ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne is one busy woman as she reports there are teams contacting about some Nuggets assets.
Denver is probably the most intriguing potential seller because of the quality of players they could move — Afflalo, Chandler, etc

Since Mozgov trade, everyone is calling Denver on Chandler & Afflalo. Heard Heat, Clippers, Hornets have all discussed Afflalo.

Do the Nuggets sell? Well, if they continue to get first round picks for pieces, then yes. Sell and sell high. Teams who are on the cusp of making a big push for the playoffs might be willing to give up some assets to add a guy like Afflalo, Nate Robinson, a healthy Wilson Chandler, healthy Javale McGee or healthy Danilo Gallinari, especially with how tight everything is on the East and West standings from the 5-12 seeds on both sides.
Afflalo with the Clippers would make the most sense and he would fit with them like a glove, but the Clippers seem set on bringing in Doc Rivers son into the fold and that means they are strapped for salary cap cash.
If the trade talks, sell Denver. The West might just be too much.
