As the Spurs deal with injuries to Green, Splitter and Leonard they limp off to the AAA to face the Heat and could not get it going.
Miami started the game with a 8-0 run and that was pretty much it all game, the Spurs couldn’t get stops. In the first quarter Miami only missed four shots.
Tony Parker tried to get it going but the Heat topped him every time. The only Spur playing well was Tim Duncan who racked up 23 points.
It’s safe to say that the only Spurs player that is closest to containing LeBron is Kawhi Leonard but he was on the bench so LeBron was free to do it all. 18 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds.
This game was the exact reason I said the Spurs won’t make The Finals, sure three pivotal players are out at the moment but the fact that they can’t beat the elite teams is worrying. Against the other teams they’re 32-1 but against teams like Miami, Indy, LA, Houston, OKC etc. they are lacklustre.
They need to keep the ship steady while Green, Splitter and Kawhi are out because they’re gradually on the come down.
