Brooklyn’s own HDBeenDope has been working and this time he’s returned with the “Shadillac” video. In the visuals for the one-minute free verse, the Brooklyn native is dancing through the living room as he raps about how he’s made it from the bottom to the top.
“It’s quarter water while I’m on a daughter/I was way shorter, but was deep up in my JanSporter,” he raps.
“Left class early, but I still got the cap and gown/That’s the top and dresses/Bring it! I could top your best sh*t.”
HDBeenDope has remained active all throughout the year. Most recently, he dropped the cinematic video for “Die With Me” and he sat down with Def Pen for an interview.
“If I listen to a song and think about how a beat is made or wish that I had made it myself, then that’s more so a song I would choose to rap over. If it’s a song that I like and I can kind of understand how the beat is made, then it’s usually not going to pique my interest or make me want to rap over,” the Brooklyn native said about his decision-making process when putting together free verses.
