HBO has decided to suspend production on the second season of Euphoria. The show had began production on a second season earlier this spring.
“In response to the global emergency related to COVID-19, we are working closely with our creative teams to assess the status of each of our series in accordance with the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as local health and government officials,” HBO stated.
“We will suspend production on some of our series currently filming and will delay those scheduled to start imminently. The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews is our number one priority,” the premium network continued.
Joining HBO, Netflix has suspended production on shows like Stranger Things. Meanwhile, Disney TV has suspended production of pilots and current shows
At the moment, it’s unclear if the show’s second show will still premiere later this year as originally scheduled. In the meantime, the network will shift its focus towards a third season of Westworld, which is set to be released this Sunday.
