HBO is focusing all of its attention on the upcoming season premiere of Game of Thrones. With teasers, posters and a huge premiere in New York, the premium network is going all out for its latest major release. In addition, the network is also working on new seasons of Ballers and Insecure that will air later this year. With all of that going on, HBO has just made a major announcement for another big production coming to television.
HBO has made major casting decision for its upcoming miniseries, The Plot Against America. Leading the way, Winona Ryder of Stranger Things will be involved in the project. Also, Zoe Kazan, Morgan Spector, Anthony Boyle, Azhy Robertson, Caleb Malis and John Turturro will join the series. David Simon and Ed Burns will lead the way as executive producers. As described by Deadline, “The Plot Against America imagines an alternate American history told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family in New Jersey as they watch the political rise of Charles Lindbergh.”
The series will be based on the novel of the same name written by Phillip Roth. Production will begin in the near future and more details will be reported as they become available.
