The Office veteran B.J. Novak is reportedly developing a comedy series for HBO’s new streaming platform, HBO Max. The developing series is currently titled Young People. Novak’s project will follow six young adults with varying backgrounds as they share an apartment in Brooklyn. Along the way, they will tackle social issues, friendships, relationships and much more.
Young People is just one of a few comedy series set to hit the streaming platform. Most recently, HBO set into motion a reboot of the 1980’s series, Head of the Class. HBO Max will also feature classic comedy series such as The Boondocks and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
While working on Young People, Novak will also work on another series for FX. The untitled project will function as a half hour series focusing on character driven narratives that use timely issues as a jumping off point.
Young People does not yet currently have a release date, but HBO Max will debut on May 27, 2020.
