There are few people who have a golden co-sign in today’s pop culture climate. Those like Rihanna and Drake are able to take someone from being virtually known to being a huge star. Among those with a golden co-sign is the queen, Beyonce. For example, Mrs. Carter took Chloe and Halle Bailey under her wing and now they’re nominated for two Grammy Awards. More recently, she offered a co-sign to emerging politician, Beto O’Rourke.
O’Rourke gained valuable co-signs from the likes of LeBron James, Travis Scott and Beyonce during his 2018 run for a U.S. Senate seat. While he did come up just shy of defeating Ted Cruz, O’Rourke undoubtedly raised his public profile. In fact, he’s become so much of a star that some think he should run in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. While a run for the presidency seems out of reach at the moment, the Texan politician is building himself up to have a future in politics. Most recently, he sat down with Oprah for an interview and it looks like he has another piece of content coming in the near future.
Announced yesterday, Beto O’Rourke is set to be the focus of a new documentary from HBO. The new film chronicling O’Rourke’s campaign will be called Running With Beto. As described by HBO, “The film gives viewers unprecedented access into the personal and political toll that running for office can take on a candidate and a family, capturing revealing moments with his wife and three young kids throughout the grueling journey.”
There is no projected release date for the film as of yet.
