Jeff Teague’s game high 28 points led the Hawks to their sixth win in eight games, topping the Washington Wizards 106-102 Tuesday night.
Along with Teague, the Hawks were led by Paul Millsap who had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
In a game that was close for the majority of the night, Atlanta went on a 22-5 run to open up the fourth quarter and didn’t look back.
The Wizards were with out starting forward Nene, leaving Kris Humphires to start in his place. The former first round pick from Minnesota played well finishing with 7 points and 10 rebounds. Drew Gooden also stepped up at the power forward spot, finishing with 12 points including two three-pointers however it wasn’t enough.
Washington was led by John Wall who finished with 21 points, but didn’t get much contribution from other key players like Paul Pierce who was 6 of 14 from the field, and Bradley Beal who was 4 of 14.
Both teams are back in action tomorrow night when Washington travels to Cleveland while the Hawks will host the Raptors.
