
Following from Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical and Brian Windhorst of ESPN. The Atlanta Hawks have traded Mike Scott to the Phoenix Suns and a protected second round pick. The Hawks continue their set of confusing deals right before the trade deadline after trading away Kyle Korver earlier in the year.

Without knowing many details on this deal it is hard to see what motivated the Hawks. Their ascension in the East due to the sporadic nature of most of the teams has clearly caused some cognitive dissonance. One minute they appear poised to make a run in the Eastern conference playoffs, in another, they look like a bottom 5 team. This has clearly caused a headache for their front office. This deal at least got them a draft pick
