Scott suffered a fracture in his big left toe. It was originally diagnosed as a sprain following the game, however after a MRI on Friday a fracture was revealed.
Scott had played in 60 of the 62 Hawks games this season and was averaging 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists before the toe injury.
The Hawks will surely miss Scott and his consistency, this injury however doesn’t put a hamper in their goals to win a NBA Championship. The depth that the Hawks have is one of the key reason they’ve been so successful this far and they already have plans on signing Austin Daye to cover for Scott while he recovers.
An official timeline for his recovery will be given at a later date.
