Hawks Assistant Quin Snyder Will Be Hired As Jazz Next Head Coach
The Utah Jazz have decided on a head coach to replace Ty Corbin. Atlanta Hawks assistant coach Quin Snyder will reportedly be confirmed as Utah’s next head coach. Snyder came out of a four-way finalist pool of coaches including Alvin Gentry and also Brad Jones, the nephew of Jerry Sloan, who has spent the past two seasons as an assistant and player development director for the Jazz.
Snyder just finished his first season as the Hawks assistant under Mike Budenholzer and a rookie staff. He has head coaching experience in college and the D-League. The Jazz are looking to develop their crop of young players like Trey Burke, Enes Kanter, and Derrick Favors, and they feel that Snyder is their best option for that purpose.
