Alex Len and Hassan Whiteside had a huge fight last night, that resulted in both of them being ejected from the game. The fight resulted from Hassan Whiteside dunking ALL over Alex Len, mid-way through the 3rd quarter.
Here is the fight:
Now Hassan Whiteside wants to talk about it.
According to Zach Harper of CBSSports.com, Whiteside said:
“I felt like it was about the fourth or fifth time I dunked on him, I felt like he was really frustrated,” Whiteside said after the Heat’s 115-98 win. “I mean I shouldn’t have came back and retaliated in the way I did. It really hurt my team. I wasn’t out there to really protect the rim and defend the basket.
That’s what it was. It was just that I just kept dunking on him.”
He also had a different side to the story as well, the one that isn’t being published.
According to Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel, Whiteside also said:
“I regret doing that,” Whiteside said. “That was the first time. Violence is not the answer. That’s what it was.”
Whiteside has had his fair share of funny moments in the NBA, but I feel like this joke, was more importantly a learning tool, for his hopefully long NBA career.
