The theme of last season was a lot of people saying that the champion Golden State Warriors were lucky to have avoided many major minutes. This season, the Warriors have started with a record-breaking 21-0 record despite several injuries to Andrew Bogut, Klay Thompson, and Harrison Barnes.
Barnes, whose injury is arguably the most serious one the team has suffered thus far, is progressing well, however, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports:
Warriors say forward Harrison Barnes is making progress on his left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated next Sunday.

The Warriors have not missed a beat without their starting small forward. However, Barnes is an integral part of the team’s success, especially when they trot out their small-ball lineup of death. With the team playing historically well, the Warriors will likely do their due diligence to make sure Barnes is completely healthy before putting him back on the floor. That is especially important as they will want to have a fully healthy squad when the playoffs arrive.
Of course, Barnes will want to get back on the court soon, especially considering this is a contract year for the forward. That time could come in just over a week.
