Brown is a coaching vet; he’s been coaching in the NBA since 1997. He has served as an assistant coach for the Washington Wizards, San Antonio Spurs, and Indiana Pacers. He was head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2005-2010, and then again in 2013-2014. He coached the Lakers in 2011-2012.
Brown won the NBA Coach of the Year award in 2009, after the Cavaliers finished with a 66-16 regular season record.
Bickerstaff was an assistant coach, and then interim head coach for the Houston Rockets last season.
Nick Van Exel has served as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks, and most recently as head coach for the Texas Legends D-League Team.
