The Milwaukee Bucks suffered an injury blow on Tuesday. The team announced that backup point guard Greivis Vasquez underwent successful surgery to remove a bone spur in his foot. The team has not yet released a timetable for his return, instead saying that it will be announced after a consultation with the doctor in charge of the surgery. Head coach Jason Kidd, however did offer some insight into how long Vasquez could be out:
Jason Kidd says backup PG Greivis Vasquez is out for 3-4 months after ankle surgery.

That could be a significant blow to the Bucks. Vasquez, who was traded to the team this offseason, has been playing well. He provides some shooting and playmaking off the bench for a team that needs both. The injury means that the Bucks will need more contributions from the likes of Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless.
