Monroe could prove to be a vital pickup for a Raptors team looking to come out of a thin Eastern Conference this upcoming season. The addition of Kawhi Leonard immediately turned them into a legit contender in the East.
Though Poeltl did a serviceable job backing up starter Jonas Valanciunas last season, Greg Monroe bring an offensive punch that not many reserve bigs in the NBA can match. Still in the thick of his prime at 28 years old, Monroe will join Toronto’s stable of young talent in their second unit as they gun for their first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history.
