Coastal Carolina Chanticleers quarterback Grayson McCall has signed a name, image, and likeness deal with Darlington Raceway. This is the first lengthy name, image, and likeness deal between a NASCAR racetrack and a college football player. Coastal Carolina is about 65 miles from Darlington Raceway. The NIL deal is for the promotion of the racetrack’s full schedule of events for the 2023 scheduled events. Atlanta Motor Speedways did limited one-off promotions with players of the Georgia Bulldog’s football program.

Last season with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Grayson McCall completed 176 of his 241 passing attempts for 2,873 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. He also ran the ball 93 times for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Entering his senior season with the program he is looking to expand his national profile and climb up the rankings in preparation for the 2023 NFL Draft. This name, image, and likeness deal with Darlington Raceway will open him up to new fans and also make him some money along the way.

NIL deals with every company imagable have been reached with college athletes and this is another great example. Grayson McCall will participate in the promotions of the racetrack events throughout the year including the track’s annual Labor Day weekend events. That includes the NASCAR race, the Southern 500 on September 4th. McCall will promote the events in person and on his social media accounts.
