Shane West has officially been confirmed as Bane in Gotham. West will be debuting as Eduardo Dorrance, a soldier that served by Jim Gordon’s side in the Army. Dorrance brings a team of lethal soldiers as he comes to Gotham reuniting with Jim in efforts to bring justice.
It will be interesting to see how Gotham tackles the Bane situation for the show. Bane is a pivotal character that was last portrayed in the big screen by the brilliant Tom Hardy.
In the dark knight universe they chose a realistic approach rather than the traditional comic book Bane. Gotham seems to be keeping true to the comics so maybe we might see a Bane version that is super powered. This could be possible as this is Gotham’s last season, they will be leaving everything on the table.
As Gotham enters its final season the show has reached an epic point. The culmination of years of development has it where Bruce is now pre-Batman and villains are in full stride. Early Sunday morning gave us the first footage of a bleak but perfect start to the birth of Batman.
The trailer is mainly a recap of what has happened in the last season thus far, yet we get a good glimpse of the future near the end. Gotham has always been a show that emphasizes its villains and it looks like the worst is yet to come.
The new season enters in with Penguin and Jeremiah picking their territories of the wasteland. While a battle ensues for who shall take over the city, Bruce and Jim fight to bring order to Gotham.
