
26-year-old Center Gorgui Dieng has agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $64 million with the Minnesota Timberwolves:

Dieng, who played three seasons of college ball at Louisville, was drafted 21st overall by the Utah Jazz, who then traded him to Minnesota. Last season for the Timberwolves, Dieng averaged 10.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 53.2% from the field. Through two games this season, Dieng has averaged 13 points, 13.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and a steal per game while shooting 52.6% from the field.
