Dwyane Wade played the first 13 seasons of his NBA career with the Miami Heat. For the last year and a half of his time with in Miami, he was joined by point guard Goran Dragic, whom the Heat acquired from the Phoenix Suns in February 2015.
Wade famously opted to leave Miami and sign with the Chicago Bulls last summer. Unfortunately, his season has come to an end; the Bulls announced Thursday that Wade will miss the remainder of the season due to both a sprain and fracture in his elbow. Dragic was asked about Wade following the injury, saying that Wade texted him on Saturday regarding Dragic’s extremely swollen eye:
.@Goran_Dragic said he texted @DwyaneWade last night when he saw he was hurt. Wade had texted him Saturday about his eye

Dragic continued:
.@Goran_Dragic on @DwyaneWade: "If you've been in this organization with the Miami Heat then you know you're brothers."

Dragic hopes that Wade retires with the Heat:
.@Goran_Dragic said he's been rooting for @DwyaneWade all season. And vice versa."You never know. Hopefully he comes back and retires here."

Dragic also downplayed the MVP chants that he received in Wednesday night’s 120-112 win over the New Orleans pelicans:
.@Goran_Dragic on MVP chants last night: "If we're honest it was only a few guys and they were saying it with a [Slovenian] accent."

In the win over the Pelicans, Dragic scored 33 points on 11-18 shooting, including 5-9 from three-point range.
