Google plans to compete with Apple TV with a new device called the Google Chromecast. For $35 you can purchase this 2-inch device, which plugs into a TVs HDMI port. With Chromecast, users can stream material from Android and iOS devices as demonstrated above. Users will also still be able to use their device while streaming something to their TV. It can also work with apps such as Netflix or Youtube.
It is available for purchase at Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Google’s Play Store, and will be available in Best Buy retail stores by July 28th.
