Goldenboy Countup has returned with the visuals for his latest release, “That Chicken.” The DJ Swift-led visual finds the Deland native effortlessly floating over the soulfully sinister production as he blends braggadocious bars about his lavish lifestyle with navigating the streets to support his family. The Florida rapper’s lyrical exercise is brought to life shots of the emerging artist showcasing his signature “Mr. Chicken” chain in his barber’s chair to Goldeboy Countup’s latest shopping spree.
“N*gga, I’m in my coup slidin’/N*gga, this is rags to riches/Damn, I remember when I couldn’t get this sh*t to spark/Now, I’m the littest n*gga” he raps.
“Wine glass, Versace glasses, lookin’ at pretty b*tches/How the f*ck you got the world screamin’ out ‘That Chicken’ n*gga?”
Goldenboy Countup is five years in his journey as rising artist. Having garnered support from fellow Florida native Rod Wave and sold out venues across the southeast, the Deland rapper is prepared to make the next jump in his career. In Florida’s crowded landscape of prominent and emerging acts, ranging from Doechii to Kodak Black, Goldenboy Countup is confident that he’ll soon be mentioned among the best to come out of the Sunshine State.
