Large sums of money are involved in NBA business every single day. Such large amounts that many of us outside the walls of supreme talent can not even quite comprehend it. One thing is for certain, winning is profitable. The Golden State Warriors net worth has risen more than two billion dollars over the last four years, making them one of the most valuable teams in the NBA. This nearly perfectly coincides with their rise to greatness over the past few years.
It appears, however, the Warriors could make a little extra cash by doing the opposite of what they have been doing so well over the past three seasons. According to ESPN, the Warriors could lose as much as $22 million by sweeping the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
All told, sweeping the series in Cleveland and not returning twice to the Bay Area, as the Warriors did last year for Games 5 and 7, would cost the Warriors’ ownership group more than $22 million.
So it appears if the Warriors want a little extra cash in their pockets, they should be hoping for a miraculous Cleveland Cavaliers comeback. This is just a business anyway, right?
