Nominations have been announced for the 2014 Golden Globes Awards.
The Best Motion Picture (Drama) noms were Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, Paul Greengrass’s Captain Phillips, Stephen Frears’s Philomena and Ron Howard’s Rush.
‘American Hustle, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘Nebraska’ and ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ were nominated for Best Motion Picture in the comedy category.
Chiwetel Ejiofor for ‘12 Years a Slave’ will be looking to take home an award along with with Sandra Bullock for ‘Gravity’, Matthew McConaughey for ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, Emma Thompson for ‘Saving Mr Banks’ and Tom Hanks for ‘Captain Phillips’ for the Golden Globe for Best Actor or Actress in a Drama.
In the comedy category, Christian Bale looks to take home the Golden Globe ‘American Hustle’ as well as Meryl Streep for ‘August: Osage County’, Leonardo DiCaprio for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, Julie Delpy for ‘Before Midnight’ and Oscar Isaac for’Inside Llewyn Davis’.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the show after universal praise for hosting last years show.
The 2014 Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 12.
