Deadline has reported that Gina Torres will star alongside Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers in The Perfect Find. Torres will fill in for Niecy Nash, who recently left the film due to scheduling conflicts.
Torres is best known for her role as Tommy Vega on 9-1-1: Lone Star. She’s also appeared in The Catch, Hannibal, Suits and Firefly.
The Perfect Find is inspired by a novel written by Tia Williams. Williams’ novel hones in on a 40-year-old woman involved in a secret industry relationship that could potentially destroy her career.
Leigh Davenport and Numa Perrier have both put together the script. Joining Davenport and Perrier, Stuart Ford, Tommy Oliver. Codie Elain, Linda McDonough, and Miguel Palos will help produce the major motion picture.
The Perfect Find is set to begin filming this summer, but there is no word as to when it’ll land on Netflix.
