The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue their early offseason additions. They have traded for Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul and a 4th round pick. They will exchange 4th rounders and then the Giants will swap Pierre-Paul for the Bucs 3rd rounder. This was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Giants and Buccaneers are swapping fourth-round picks, and then Jason Pierre-Paul gets dealt for an additional third-round pick as NY continues to reshape its roster.

Jason Pierre-Paul had a good 2017 season with the Giants registering 68 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles for the Giants in after signing a four-year, $62 million deal last offseason. He started all 16 games for the first time in four seasons since his firework incident.
JPP is tied for the third highest cap hit by a defensive player in 2018 with $17.5 M. The Buccaneers seem willing to pay as they were the team with the fewest sacks in 2017 at 22. They also ranked dead last in pressure on the opposing quarterback.
The team seemed to make their interiors a priority signing multiple linemen in the last few days. They signed Vinny Curry to a three-year deal, as well as tackle Beau Allen, both formerly part of Super Bowl champion Eagles stellar D-line. Tampa also made Ryan Jensen the highest paid center in the NFL on Sunday.
