Now, the Giants have two viable threats at the wide receiver position with Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. Last season, Odell Beckham led the NFL with 35% of the Giants red zone targets. Marshall was third in the NFL with 27% of the Jets red zone targets. Now, imagine them on the same team.

Marshall regressed from a production standpoint last season but is only one year removed from a 109 catch 1,502 yards, and 14 touchdowns season. Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus thinks Marshall can still be productive.

Maybe this was the Giants recognizing their young wide receiving core needing a veteran presence after a few incidents off-the-field last season. Brandon Marshall also comes cheaper than other veterans at $6 MM a year.
The New York Giants went 11-5 a season ago and they do not show any signs of slowing down.
