The San Francisco Giants have named that they have a new General Manager(GM) under the direction of Farhan Zaidi. The Giants have announced that they have reportedly named Scott Harris as the team’s new GM. Harris was formerly of the Chicago Cubs front office but has since decided that a move back to the Bay Area will be best.
Scott Harris has long been seen as a future GM. He was an integral part of the Chicago Cubs’ rise and comes with the highest recommendations from Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer. Skills-wise, he should be an excellent complement to Giants president of baseball ops Farhan Zaidi.

Currently, the Giants front office is heading into its second year with former Los Angeles Dodgers front office executive Farhan Zaidi, now at the helm of the Giants. Zaidi has been bringing in his personnel and getting the Giants back where he would like to do. In 2019, the Giants were coached to a 71-91 record by long-time manager Bruce Bochy. Zaidi and Harris will now have to begin the search to replace their bench boss and get the Giants back on track.
The Giants are currently in a struggle where they do not quite have an overbearing farm system like some other teams around the league. Zaidi and Harris will have their work cut out for them as they continue to try and put together an organization that can get back to the postseason.
