At the Milwaukee Bucks’ media day today, Giannis Antetokounmpo said that Jabari Parker will make his first All-Star game:

The support Giannis is showing for his teammate here is sweet. This is quite the bold prediction, though. Antetokounmpo, who is the team’s most promising young talent, has yet to make an All-Star game himself. Rather than proclaiming that he hopes to make his first All-Star game, he predicts success for his teammate, which just feels like a Giannis thing to do. The kid’s a sweetheart. Just look at this face!

On a more serious note, though: Parker will have a chance to shine this season, due to the unfortunate injury of Khris Middleton. Middleton is arguably the best player on the Bucks, and losing him for the season is a crushing blow for this team. The upside, though, is that Jabari Parker will have a chance to have a breakout season.
That being said, I stand by my opinion that playing in the All-Star game is too lofty a goal for Parker this season. Giannis, on the other hand, has a real shot to make his first All-Star Team
