While fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise await on ‘Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’, fans can get a first look at Michael Fassbender in the Assassin suit as he preps for his new lead role in the film — thanks to Yahoo.
According to Yahoo, Fassbender will not be bringing our beloved Assassin’s from previous versions of the game, but a new Assassin who is currently being named, Callum Lynch. Callum Lynch is a character who is said to be made specifically for the movie, but will fit into the same world of Assassin’s Creed.
Lynch will find out that his bloodline derives from those of the Creed and will explore his genetic memories, taking him back to 15th century Spain. Lynch will relive the memories of his ancestor, Aguilar.
It is currently sounding like Ubisoft and the movie studios will be retelling the story of Desmond Miles and his ancestors: Altair, Ezio and more, but will explain it thoroughly to those who do not know anything about the gaming series.
Assassin’s Creed also stars Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Michael Kenneth Williams (12 Years a Slave), and Ariane Labed (Before Midnight). Production begins on Monday, Aug. 31.
Assassin’s Creed opens in theaters Dec. 21, 2016.
