Last year, Showtime closed out the boxing calendar with a lightweight battle featuring Frank “The Ghost” Martin and Michel Rivera. This year, Showtime will kick off the boxing calendar with another lightweight clash featuring Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Héctor Garcia. Davis will look to put away Garcia and advance to a showdown with Ryan Garcia in April. Meanwhile, Garcia aims to move up one weight class and take down one of the sport’s biggest draws.
The focus will be on Garcia and Davis, but the Showtime event doesn’t end there. Welterweight Jaron “Boots” Ennis hopes to put himself in title contention with a knockout performance. Demetrius Andrade will make his debut at super middleweight and Brandun Lee aims to improve his record to 28-0 in a super lightweight clash. Rounding out the event, Rashidi “Speedy” Ellis hopes to put himself in the welterweight picture as he exits his 20s and moves into his 30s.
Before Garcia, Davis, Ennis, Andrade, Lee and Ellis enter the ring, they’ll sit down for a final press conference at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. Check out the final press conference below.
