Gerald McCoy was one of the most highly touted prospects out of his draft class in 2010 and was drafted with the third overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 32-year-old played the first nine seasons of his career with the Bucs before joining Carolina in 2019.
In those nine seasons with Tampa, McCoy was known as one of the better interior defensive linemen in the NFL. McCoy would make the Pro Bowl on five different occasions with the Bucs.
Now McCoy joins a Dallas front that already features some talent with star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and two solid linebackers. McCoy will look to help fill the void left by free agent Robert Quinn who joined the Bears on a five-year deal.
