The Miami Heat are low-key making some good moves. I am starting to see a definite Playoff team that might have a fighting chance against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Don’t want to jinx it, but I currently rate the Miami Heat at 2 in the Eastern Conference. Want to battle me on that, my Twitter handle is up top. Come at me.
But let’s focus on the current news for now. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat have signed free agent Gerald Green to a 1-Year deal.
Green, 29, blossomed with the Suns in two seasons after the team acquired him from the Indiana Pacers. After arriving with the Suns in 2013-14 to deliver the best season of his career – averaging 15.8 points in 82 games – his production and minutes slipped in the 2014-15 season. Green deepens the Miami bench, a scorer who can play behind the Heat’s talented wings, including Dwyane Wade.
Can I say that their fast break is looking just as deadly as it was a couple of years ago? Think about it.
Wade steals the ball, throws it to Justice Winslow (who is a monster on the break) Alley-oop to Green and flushes it home! I think the Heat are back in business for the upcoming season, the have made deals that’ll make them contenders this year and will give them a chance to bring them all back next year.
