One day until the NBA 2015-16 Regular Season, I am HYPED! I can’t wait for all my predictions to come true, just you watch.
And with the season coming rapidly, it’s time for coaches to actually lock in their roster and get everybody ready to make a push. That is what George Karl has to do. The main question that’s been hanging over the Kings during training camp is “who is starting beside DeMarcus Cousins?”. Karl Has some flexibility, picking between Rudy Gay, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos. And like I said a couple of weeks ago, Karl is leaning towards the logical option and putting WCS in the 4 while having Gay in his native small forward position.
The Kings have been searching for a big to play alongside DeMarcus Cousins since he came in the league five seasons ago. It appears that Cauley-Stein, the sixth overall selection in this summer’s NBA Draft will get a shot at filling the void right away.
“I thought he was pretty good,” Karl said. “I would say right now, Willie’s probably going to start. I’m not sure of that yet, but I think that’s probably where I’m heading.”
Karl is going for the easiest choice, even though there were reports of Cauley-Stein being overweight, it seems that it’s not deterring Karl much.
I think the amount of success the Kings have all depend on how well Rajon Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins play together. If they beast out together they’ll have more wins and might not actually suck for once.
