The trailer for Disney’s Tomorrowland has been unveiled.
George Clooney will star in the movie as the inventor Frank Walker, who offers to take a troubled teen Casey [Britt Robertson] to a magic world.
The first teaser sees Casey finding a special coin while leaving the police station, with the coin immediately taking her to a golden field every time it is touched.
“What if there is a place – a secret place – where nothing is impossible? A miraculous place – where you could actually change the world?” Frank is heard telling Casey, before asking: “Do you wanna go?”
Tomorrowland has been shrouded in mystery, but Clooney opened up about working on the movie while making a surprise appearance at New York Comic-Con yesterday.
Clooney told those in attendance that Tomorrowland is “larger than most things [he’s] been around”, and added that director Brad Bird had “a real vision” for the ambitious film.
Hugh Laurie, Kathryn Hahn, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer and Keegan-Michael Key have supporting roles in Tomorrowland, which has been written by Bird and Lost‘s Damon Lindelof.
Tomorrowland opens in theaters on May 22, 2015.
