The Seattle Seahawks and starting quarterback Geno Smith have agreed on a three-year contract worth $105 million. He can earn up to $52 million in his first season with the team. Smith won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year and was named to the NFL Pro Bowl last season with the Seahawks. The team worked diligently to get a deal done before the veteran quarterback could hit free agency. Last offseason the Seahawks were projected to finish near the bottom of the NFL, but Smith helped lift the team to the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs.

Geno Smith has had a long NFL journey to this point but has earned his spot as a starting quarterback in the NFL. With him under the center and with the team controlling several future draft picks from Denver, the team can both win games and continue to rebuild its roster. It has become a win-win situation for the Seattle Seahawks, thanks in large part to Smith. His level of play on the field has been spectacular since joining Seattle.
This past season with the Seattle Seahawks, Geno Smith completed 399 passes for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions on 572 attempts. His completion percentage of 69.8 percent was the best completion percentage in the NFL. He also rushed the ball 68 times for 366 yards and one rushing touchdown. Congratulations to Smith on his new contract after an amazing season with Seattle.
