
Marc Gasol continues to make his early season case for the MVP as he lead his Memphis Grizzlies to a 114-105 victory over division rival Dallas Mavericks in Tuesday’s edition of the #DefPenGame2Watch.
Gasol scored 30 points as he cooked up Tyson Chandler in the low block. Gasol shot 9-14 from the field along with shooting 12-13 from the free throw line. Zach Randolph also provided some interior scoring as he contributed 17 points with 13 rebounds to join Gasol in dominating the post. Mike Conley scored 22 points and Tony Allen dropped 13 for the Grizzlies. Tayshaun Prince came off the bench to score 11 points and grab 7 rebounds and Beno Udrih joined him off the bench to score 10 points.
Chandler Parsons had his breakout game of the season by scoring 30 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Mavericks. Jameer Nelson also had the best game of the young season by scoring 18 points for the Mavericks. You would think that if these two guys had great games, that a great game would HAVE to happen from Dirk Nowitzki, right? Dirk only had 11 points on 4-17 shooting and grabbed 6 rebounds. J.J. Barea came off the bench for Dallas to score 17 points and Jae Crowder joined him scoring 13 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.
Dallas Mavericks are now 0-5 against the top 8 teams in the Western Conference.
Memphis Grizzlies are 17-4. Dallas Mavericks are 16-7.
