Harris suffered the injury on Saturday vs. the Detroit Pistons and missed the Nuggets’ subsequent Sunday game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers. Earlier this season, Harris was limited with a groin injury that he suffered in training camp, and as a result has played in only five of Denver’s 10 games this season.
Harris, who played his college ball at Michigan State, was drafted 19th overall by the Chicago Bulls in 2014. He was immediately traded to Denver. If he were healthy, Harris would presumably be the Nuggets’ starting two-guard; he started in all 76 of his appearances last season. In those 76 games, Harris played 32.1 minutes a night, averaging 12.3 points per game while shooting 46.9% from the field and 35.4% from beyond the arc.
In Harris’ absence, the starter has been — and likely will continue to be — Will Barton.
