For the past several days, a new challenge has been taking over social media. The “#ForTheD**kChallenge” has been going viral on social media sites. Many people, including Issa Rae, Erykah Badu, and Cardi B are doing it.
While becoming a viral challenge, the originator of the phrase, New Orleans rapper GameOva Reedy, explains her frustration over not receiving credit. “I haven’t received no extra benefits from this song [Freestyle] whatsoever,” said the rapper. “I’m highly upset because I’m not getting the credit that I deserve,”.
Reedy says how the videos never really bothered her until seeing others get credit. The rapper then makes sure to let fans know she isn’t mad at everyone doing the challenge, just remember the originator.
