G Herbo recently released his fourth studio album, 25, with features from Rowdy Rebel, Lil’ Tjay, Polo G and Gunna. During the album’s rollout, the Chicago native spoke to Andre Gee of Complex about his latest release. However, the conversation did not end there. He also provided a bit of insight about his long-awaited joint project with Lil’ Bibby, No Limitations.
“It will be one of the best joint projects to ever come out of all time, I’m stampin’ it,” he said about No Limitations.
There seems to be one minor obstacle on the road to completing this project. Over the last four years, Lil’ Bibby has transitioned from being an artist to being an executive. Most notably, he played an integral role in the success of the late Juice WRLD. Not to mention, he’s started venturing into the world of real estate. As a result, he hasn’t put out music at the same rate that he did in the mid-2010s. In order to complete No Limitations, G Herbo will have to get his “brother” back into the studio on a consistent basis.
“I need to just drag Bibby in the studio, for real,” he continued.
“Bibby has all these moments where he’s just in the studio working, going crazy, then he’s like, ‘I ain’t on that, man. I’m going to go buy some more property, go get some more artists.’”
In recent years, a number of artists have teased incredible joint projects. Unfortunately, few have come to fruition for a variety of reasons. Hopefully, Lil’ Bibby and G Herbo will be the exception and not the trend.
