FX will be premiering their new TV show based on the rise of crack cocaine in 1980’s Los Angeles. Directed by Boyz n the Hood director John Singleton, the crime drama will follow multiple characters who’s lives have been affected by the epidemic. It’s set to premiere it’s first season on July 5th of this summer and the trailer indicates that this is a much more complex story-line then just a drug dealers, this is about how crack began.
In all honesty, it seems to me that FX has been on a role with TV shows as of late. With Childish Gambino’s Atlanta blowing other shows out of the water last year and now Snowfall, which has already received an $8.8 million dollar tax credit for production. Keep a reminder on your calendar for July 5th because this is a show you do not want to miss.
