The new full trailer has arrived for the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” directed by both Dexter Fletcher and Bryan Singer.
Rami Malek, Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, Joseph Mazzello, Allen Leech and Lucy Boynton star in the film which looks at the band’s music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury who shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.
The film will track their rise, near implosion and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid where Mercury leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.
The film’s teaser scored some criticism about essentially ignoring Mercury’s sexuality, but the new trailer isn’t so shy about it. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is set to be released October 24th in the UK, and November 2nd in the United States.
“Singer Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and bass guitarist John Deacon take the music world by storm when they form the rock ‘n’ roll band Queen in 1970. Hit songs like “Killer Queen,” “Bohemian Rhapsody, “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You” become instant classics. When Mercury’s increasingly wild lifestyle starts to spiral out of control, Queen soon faces its greatest challenge yet — finding a way to keep the band together amid the success and excess.”
