While ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ was basking in its success of selling 3.9 million DVDs in one week, Disney’s musical juggernaut ‘Frozen’ challenged that as the company announced the film sold 3.2 million DVDs in ONE DAY.
This massive number, which also includes pre-sales, is set to be the biggest home entertainment releases in the last 10 years.
‘Frozen’ passed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office earlier this year. It joins the ranks of six other Disney movies that have passed that mark including ‘The Avengers’ ‘Iron Man 3’ ‘Toy Story 3’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: 2 & 4’.
The film also won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at this year’s Academy Awards.
Maybe they could try and build a snowman out of a huge pile of money.
