‘Frozen’ has become the highest grossing animated film of all time.
The movie has now taken in $1.072 billion worldwide, surpassing the previous record holder ‘Toy Story 3′ which hauled in a massive $1.063 billion during its run.
Ever since its debut back in November 2013, the movie has had non-stop success and held in the top 10 of the box office until February 2014.
‘Frozen’ features the voices of Kristen Bell, Adele Dazeem Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad and Santino Fontana.
It won both of its two Oscar nominations at this year’s Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
The film also sold 3.2 million DVD’s on the day of its release, making it one of the biggest home entertainment launches in the last decade.
‘The Lion King’ is the third highest grossing film followed by ‘Despicable Me 2’ and ‘Finding Nemo’. ‘Shrek’ and ‘Ice Age’ sequels round out the top 10.
