
Rapper, philanthropist and mentor, Meek Mill, has released the first official trailer for his upcoming documentary series, Free Meek Mill. The new Amazon documentary series will chronicle his longstanding battle with the legal system in Philadelphia as he hopes to shine a light on the injustices occurring all across the country. Jay-Z, Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, Paul Solotaroff and Isaac Solotaroff will serve as the series’ executive producers.
In a statement, Amazon describes the series, “Free Meek is an upcoming documentary series that will follow Meek and his fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system.” Amazon adds, “The series will give viewers unprecedented access to the star’s life, career, and criminal justice odyssey, while demonstrating the negative effects long tail probation is having on urban communities of color.”
The series will consist of six parts and will be released in May on an unknown date. In the meantime, Meek Mill will look to continue his worldwide tour with Melii, Kash Doll and Lil’ Durk. The Philadelphia rapper has shows this week in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Washington, D.C. before ending the tour in Atlanta, Georgia.
