The Boston Celtics are officially done for the season. It’s a shame but they put up the true underdog fight. The injury of Avery Bradley was the deciding factor and because they don’t have a ‘star’ and Atlanta have some borderline stars, the C’s were eventually bounced.
It’s now onto the offseason and they have to make decisions. Keep as many people as possible or make some changes. Evan Turner certainly hopes it is the latter.
Q. Do you expect to be back next year?
A. “I really don’t know. I would love to come back but at the same time, lot of things, lot of variables that are going to occur and things like that that I can’t control. Whenever July hits we’ll talk about it.”
If it’s up to you, would you like to be back?
“Absolutely. But at the same time you have to really sit down and see what measures out and Danny has to do what’s best for the organization and I have to do what’s best for my career.”
See you know he’s a veteran because he is ready for any outcome. He has his preference of course but if he goes anywhere other than Boston he will suck it up and get on with it.
Isaiah Thomas has recently said that nobody’s safe, something that Evan Turner probably doesn’t want to hear but I think the C’s would be silly to let a half decent vet like Turner go.
